How to merge PDFs without uploading your files
How do I combine PDFs without uploading them?
Open Docfinish’s PDF tools, choose Merge PDFs and select your files. Reorder the selected files, create the PDF and download the result. Processing happens in your browser tab, so the PDF contents are not uploaded. Review the exported copy before sharing it.
Prepare the files
Use ordinary, unencrypted PDFs. The toolkit accepts up to 12 files, with a 30 MB combined input limit and a 300-page total input limit. Save a copy of each original before starting. A digitally signed PDF is not suitable for this tool: it rejects digital-signature fields rather than presenting a changed document as still signed.
Choose the order before combining
Select Merge PDFs in the toolkit, then add the files. Use the file-order controls to put the cover, main document and attachments in the sequence you want. Create the result and open it to check the boundary between each source file. An unexpected blank page is easier to spot there than by checking only the first page.
Check more than the page count
Merging flattens standard form fields into visible content. Bookmarks, links and other interactive features may not survive. If you need editable form fields, keep the originals too. Inspect the first and last page of every source file in the combined result, including orientation and any cropped content.
Keep a reusable final copy
Download the result before closing the tab. Use a descriptive filename such as project-reference-attachments.pdf. If you need a different selection of pages, use Organise pages on the result. This does not compress the file, run OCR or remove confidential content.
