Docfinish is a browser-based document workspace for small service businesses. It creates estimates, job sheets, change requests and completion records from shared job details. It also provides local PDF tools for merging, organising pages, filling standard forms and adding visible overlays. The current public beta is free.
Who it is for
Tradespeople, independent studios, maintenance teams and freelancers who need clear job paperwork and a simple way to prepare PDFs. Start with your own details or an illustrative sample. No customer results or revenue claims are implied by the sample.
How it works
- Enter the job details once in the job workspace.
- Review each document and export the PDFs yourself.
- Use the PDF toolkit to finish existing files without uploading their contents.
- Keep local backups, or explicitly save a job to the optional signed-in cloud workspace.
Create your own forms
The fillable form builder creates new A4 PDFs with editable text, paragraph, checkbox and dropdown fields. Save a JSON layout template to reuse it later. Up to 60 fields; local processing; Latin text. Required flags are advisory and viewer-dependent. It does not modify an uploaded PDF or collect responses online.
What it does not do
The beta document studio supports shared links, approvals and typed electronic signatures from signed-in recipients. It stores proposals, saved versions, participant emails, consent and server-timestamped activity. It does not send emails, independently verify identity, take client payments or provide accounting. Text overlays do not rewrite or redact existing PDF text. OCR, Word conversion, verified signing and encrypted PDF processing are not available. Read the full product and privacy limits.
Pricing and availability
All current beta tools are free. An offline Pro edition is planned at $19 once, but checkout is not open. No recurring plan is being sold. The current beta is not a guarantee of future cloud storage or support service levels.
