Open the workspace. Use Load sample to explore fictitious details, or start a new job.
Add your business, client, reference, date and scope. Include a contact method.
Add each item with its quantity and unit rate. Set discount, tax and requested deposit yourself.
Switch between the four previews. Add change and completion notes when those stages apply.
Download your estimate PDF. Pro also exports each other document and a ZIP with all four.
Review every exported page before sending. You send the documents yourself.
Save the job locally in Pro, or export a backup. Keep backups somewhere private.

Working offline

Extract the Pro ZIP into a folder. Keep all files together, then open index.html in a modern desktop browser. No installation or account is needed. Saved browser data may differ between local file locations, so always export a JSON backup before moving the folder.

Numbers you can check

Each line is quantity multiplied by unit rate, rounded to the nearest cent. Discount is deducted before tax. The deposit is a request, not recorded cash. The change amount is additional work only; it does not silently change the original estimate or calculate extra tax.

Limits in this edition

Up to 100 items and 100 locally saved jobs. PDFs support Latin text and standard punctuation. Other scripts may trigger an export error rather than silently lose text. This is a document generator, not an existing-PDF editor, accounting system or signature verification service.

Recovering a job

Choose Import backup and select a Docfinish JSON file under 2 MB. Invalid files are rejected without replacing your current job. Clearing browser data removes local saves. We do not hold a cloud copy.
